No. The Heedy tablet does not need to stay plugged in all the time.

Heedy can run while the tablet is using its battery or while it is charging.

Keep the tablet charged

We recommend keeping the tablet charged so Heedy is available when the older adult needs it.

If the battery runs out and the tablet turns off, Heedy will not be available for video calls or receive new photos and messages until the tablet is powered on and connected again.

Make charging easy

Place the tablet somewhere with easy access to a charger. If the tablet normally stays in one place, it can remain connected to the charger when needed.
