After setting up Heedy, making a test video call is a good way to check that everything is working.

1. Open Heedy on the family member's or caregiver's phone

Make sure the phone is connected to the older adult's Heedy family group.

2. Start a video call

Choose the older adult and start a video call.

3. Check the older adult's tablet

The incoming call will appear on the tablet.

If Auto-Answer is on, Heedy can answer the call automatically.

If Auto-Answer is off, the older adult needs to tap Answer.

4. Check the video and sound

Make sure you can see and hear each other clearly on both devices.

If the video or sound does not work, check the internet connection, camera and microphone permissions, and device volume.

If the call does not connect, search the Heedy Help Center for video call not connecting.
