How do I set up Heedy for the first time?
Heedy guides you through the setup when you open the app for the first time.
1. Choose how you will use Heedy
Select:
- For an older adult
- As a family member
- As a caregiver
Heedy adapts the experience based on the role you choose.
2. Set up your details
Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the information Heedy asks for.
Family members and caregivers create their own Heedy account.
3. Connect to the older adult
The older adult's Heedy tablet displays a connection code.
Enter this code in Heedy on the family member's or caregiver's phone to connect to the family group.
4. Invite family members
Once connected, you can invite other family members to join Heedy by SMS.
5. Allow the required permissions
Follow the on-screen instructions to allow the permissions Heedy needs for features such as video calls and notifications.
6. Start using Heedy
Once setup is complete, you can start making video calls and sharing photos and messages.
The older adult's tablet will also show information such as the time, date, and local weather.
